This qualification will provide you with an entry level skills and knowledge to work in the building and construction industry. You will learn a broad range of skills to help you decide which area of building and construction you wish to follow, for example, bricklaying/blocklaying, carpentry and joinery, and painting and decorating.

The 'Certificate I In Construction' provides you with the exciting opportunity to develop the skills needed for a future career in building and construction. Through the course you will be given the chance to explore different trades including carpentry and joinery."

Your qualification prepares you for roles such as:

Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to gain an apprenticeship to become a bricklayer/blocklayer, carpenter and joiner, or painter and decorator, or a traineeship in construction. You will need to be employed and registered as an apprentice/trainee before you can commence.
