About the role
This position is responsible for providing support to Aboriginal students to commence, continue and complete training. The position connects North Regional TAFE (NRT) to the training and employment needs of Aboriginal individuals, groups and communities.

This position will be responsible for (including but not limited to):

  • Consult and liaise with Aboriginal individuals, groups and communities on their training needs and discuss follow-up opportunities with the Aboriginal Development Officer.
  • Under the direction of the Aboriginal Development Officer, collaborate with Training Managers and other relevant NRT staff members to ensure engagement of Aboriginal people in the development and delivery of appropriate training programs.
  • Provide internal advice on the cultural appropriateness and/or protocols on NRT training programs, delivery and facilities.

About the Position

We are looking for an inspirational lecturer or industry experienced persons who is passionate about passing their vocation onto the workforce of the future.

This position is responsible for assisting students with identified language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) support needs through the Indigenousness Tutor Scheme to fully participate in the learning environment and successfully complete training and assessment requirements for Profile delivered training.

To be successful, you will have the following…

  1. Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
  2. Relevant vocational qualifications at a Certificate III qualification and/or relevant experience working in a specific industry area.

It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.

About the role

The Senior Facilities Officer provides effective and efficient business and administrative support to the Facilities Manager, Facilities Coordinator and Facilities team to achieve business goals.

This position will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Carries out preventative maintenance as required and reports to the Facilities coordinator of repairs required
  • Organises and assists with the movement of equipment and furniture as directed.
  • Assists in the set-up of training materials and equipment as directed
  • Coordinates breakdown repairs, routine and preventative maintenance activities and minor works projects for the College

About the role

In this role you will be in charge of maintaining the appearance of gardens, grassed areas and horticultural teaching compound at the campus, student and staff accommodation and supports gardening operations at other nearby campuses. This includes maintaining garden beds, weeding, mowing grassed areas, maintaining reticulation and checking watering schedules facilitating the purchase of plants and gardening consumables and providing support to the local Facilities team to coordinate on site contractors.

About the role

In collaboration with the Aboriginal Training Manager, coordinate the day-to-day work and program activities of the North West Aboriginal Training Services team so as to effectively assist Aboriginal communities and people to access TAFE services and support them in maximizing outcomes. This position requires significant travel to NRT campuses, towns and Aboriginal communities throughout the North West and other external forums related to Aboriginal education, training and workforce participation issues.
