Want an insight into the resources and infrastructure industry?
This entry-level qualification enables you to develop basic functional skills and knowledge to prepare for work in the resources and infrastructure industries.
You will learn how to plan and organise work in the industry, develop skills in workplace communication, gain an understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, and learn how to carry out basic on-the-job tasks. Throughout this course, you will complete a number of practical construction projects to demonstrate your skills and knowledge.
This course is available at other campus locations upon request.
Throughout this course, you will gain skills in:
- Planning

- Work, health and safety policies and procedures
- Undertaking measurements and calculations
- Using hand and power tools
- You are a high school student from years 10 – 12
- You require additional literacy and numeracy assistance with your learning
The course program includes face-to-face teaching.
Additional work packs will be provided to students to complete prior to blocks which should amount to an extra 30-50 hours of student learning.

Students must present with a HSHS permission stating the days and hours that they are required to attend.
