Certificate II in Introduction to Aged Care

Make a positive difference in the lives of others.
The Certificate II Introduction to Aged Care provides learners with basic industry specific skills and knowledge to either enable a transition into a traineeship within the Community Services sector at the Certificate III level or prepare them for work in the Aged Care sector.
This qualification will be delivered face to face, with a 100 hour work placement required to be undertaken in an aged care setting to allow for consolidation of knowledge and skills.
This course is part of the Lower fees, local skills initiative, allowing you to pay just half of the standard course fees for training in 2020-21.
The following people will be eligible for the $400 annual course fees cap under Lower fees, local skills.
- Persons aged 15—24 years at the time of enrolment (excluding students enrolled at school)
- Persons and dependents of persons receiving JobKeeper payment
- Persons and dependents of persons in receipt of services from one of the following Commonwealth support or employment services programs:
- Jobactive
- Online Employment Services
- ParentsNext
- Persons and dependents of persons receiving the Youth Allowance, AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY
- Persons and dependents of persons holding:
- a pensioner concession card or Health Care Card; or
- a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans' Affairs
- Dependents of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution
