This qualification is an entry-level qualification, providing participants with a taster of the sport and community recreation industry. In this training you will learn how to assist with activity sessions and learn about industry knowledge to deliver a range of sport and recreation sessions and programs. You will also gain the skills required for customer service with a range of clientele.
In addition, you will also be trained in workplace health and safety and dealing with emergency situations. The lecturer uses a workplace resource to ensure training is realistic and meaningful. You will complete project work to develop knowledge of governing bodies and the legal requirements of the industry.

You are a VETDSS Student from years 11 and 12 or someone seeking a career change and have a passion for sports and fitness.
