Ensure the health and safety of your colleagues in the workplace.

The Certificate III in Work Health and Safety allows participants to adopt a health and safety role within their workplace. 

Throughout this course, you will learn how to: 

  • Comply with Work, Health and Safety laws and regulations to support workplace requirements 
  • Collect and analyse workplace safety data such as incident reports 
  • Identify hazards and assess risks on domestic and commercial building sites, and establish appropriate control measures for these hazards 
  • Consult with management, subcontractors and workers on health and safety concerns 
  • Participate in the effective communication of health and safety information, techniques and procedures to other team members 
  • Contribute to team innovation when addressing health and safety issues in the workplace 
  • Provide support to health and safety specialists in resolving health and safety issues 
  • Research alternative pathways when seeking expert advice on health and safety issues 

Throughout this course, you will gain skills in: 

  • Work, Health and Safety communication and report writing 
  • Relevant legislation 
  • Hazard identification and risk management 
  • Chemical hazard identification and control 
  • Emergency management and incident response
