Bookkeepers provide a valuable service to organisations and individuals all around the world, and have the freedom and flexibility to work for a business or within their own practice. The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping combines both the accounting and bookkeeping specialisations, giving you a variety of choices for career progression.
Throughout this course, you will gain skills and knowledge in accounting legislation, internal control procedures, cloud computing and setting up and operating a computerised accounting system. You will learn how to prepare business documents and reports, process financial, payroll and BAS statements and monitor the financial performance of an organisation.
An updated version of this qualification is being introduced in 2023. As we are committed to providing you with industry ready qualifications, new students will be enrolled into the latest version.

You seek work as a bookkeeper, through your own business or as part of an organisation.
You will undertake a combination of self-paced study, classroom-based tutorials and individual assessments throughout this course. You will learn in a simulated workplace environment using real-life scenarios and organisational policies and procedures. If you are currently working in this field, you will have the opportunity to use existing workplace documentation for your training and assessment.

What is the ICB?
