This Qualification prepares students to develop and run programs for young people while working to legal and ethical requirements. Students will work with community, government, or youth organisations, following their policies and guidelines.
 
Students learn how to handle critical situations, support at-risk youth, facilitate collective action, navigate cultural diversity, and understand the ethical behaviours and legal responsibilities associated with youth services.
 
Students will learn how to make decisions independently, with support from a manager. All work will need to meet Australian standards and follow Commonwealth and State or Territory laws and industry practices.
