Make a difference in childrens’ lives by learning how best to support their wellbeing, learning and development.

This course reflects the role of an educator who is responsible for the planning, implementing and management of programs in early childhood education and care services in accordance with legislative requirements and national quality standards. Participants will learn how to document, plan and evaluate children’s play, with a focus on inclusion, mentoring, management and working in a culturally diverse environment.

As part of this qualification, participants will undertake  240 hours of supervised work placement where they will be able to apply the skills and knowledge learned throughout the course. A federal police clearance and Working with Children Check are required prior to placement.

Upon completion of the Diploma, participants will become qualified to supervise other staff and volunteers. Participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to plan, implement and manage programs in early childhood services (0-12 years) in accordance with licensing, quality assurance and duty of care requirements.
