Make a positive difference in the lives of others.

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support is suitable for aged care workers who are responsible for the personal, physical and emotional support of older people in assisted living arrangements. Participants who undertake this course will undertake specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments.

Participants will learn how to develop, facilitate and review individualised service planning and delivery, demonstrating leadership and independence.

Make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Develop the skills to care for those within the aged care, disability, or home and community care sector. Students who undertake this qualification can choose to specialise in one of these three streams.

Training is focussed on empowering and equipping students with the knowledge and competencies required of community workers to deliver individualised support to people who may require assistance due to ageing, disability or other reasons, both in community or residential settings. Students will be taught how to use discretion and judgement when providing this support and to take ownership of tasks and outcomes.

Experienced lecturers will provide participants with a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as expand on the theories behind the concepts and practices of person-centred support.

52841WA BEI60 Introduction to Aged Care Certificate II Face-to-face classroom delivery

Make a positive difference in the lives of others.

The Certificate II Introduction to Aged Care provides learners with basic industry specific skills and knowledge to either enable a transition into a traineeship within the Community Services sector at the Certificate III level or prepare them for work in the Aged Care sector.


This Qualification will be delivered face to face, with a 100 hour work placement required to be undertaken in an aged care setting to allow for consolidation of knowledge and skills.
