The Certificate III in Beauty Services guides participants through a range of beauty treatments and services, including waxing and nail care. This course has been specifically designed to develop participants' skills in customer service, product sales and financial transactions, allowing treatment to be applied in a professional manner.

Participants will learn how to perform a range of beauty services, including:

  • Waxing
  • Tanning
  • Manicure and pedicures
  • Nail art
  • Brow treatments

Students will have the opportunity to develop more advanced skills of their choice through the selection of elective units.

This course is available at other campus locations upon request.

If you would like to work at a beauty salon, day spa or run your own beauty business, then this course is perfect for you.

Participants will develop skills in:

  • Retail product sales and advice

This course comprises both theory and practical study and will be conducted in the classroom and onsite in a practicing hair and beauty salon. Participants who complete the Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy will have the skills necessary to provide customers with a professional range of beauty treatments and services.

Try your hand in the beauty industry!

The Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics is an entry-level qualification, providing participants with the skills needed to work as a retail sales assistant selling and demonstrating beauty and cosmetic products.

During this course, participants will gain the skills and knowledge required to apply make-up products for day as well as hair styles for evening or special occasions.

Participants will also learn how to consult with clients, analyse face and skin, and demonstrate how to apply make-up products to suit each individual client's needs or make-up brief.

Do you have an interest in beauty?

Join our upcoming course to learn how to complete waxing services and lash and brow treatments. You may choose to complete this course as the first stage towards a full beauty qualification

Throughout this course you will learn how to provide waxing services to your client including legs, bikini, underarm and facial waxing. You will also learn the skills required to shape eyebrows and tint eyelashes and brows to meet your clients wants and needs. 

You will also learn about sterilisation and applying and maintaining infection control standards within a salon environment.

Join us Mondays and Tuesdays 9.00am - 2.00pm beginning 24 August.
