This Basic Welding short course will give you an introduction to welding, including safety and workshop procedures.
In this introduction to welding course you will have access to gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) in a fully equipped workshop.
The course will provide students with practical skills that will allow you to complete basic welding tasks. Students are welcome to bring their own projects to class and discuss them with your lecturer.
Please note that students will be required to wear personal protective clothing at all times (safety boots, safety glasses, long pants and a cotton drill shirt).
This course is not formally assessed. A Certificate of Participation will be provided upon completion. This course is designed for students who have limited welding experience, or who have never welded before and are keen to learn a new skill.
