Where can I access job opportunities?

NR TAFE advertises all non-casual employment opportunities, with a tenure in excess of six month, on the WA Government Jobs Board. This site is your gateway to information about employment opportunities in the Government of Western Australia.

NR TAFE also has various casual teaching positions available throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara. If you are interested in sharing your talents by teaching the next generation, then this is for you! We are establishing an appointment pool for current vacancies that may arise in the future. Appointments will be made on a casual basis. Permanency is not available through this recruitment process. Casual Disability Support Worker - Fitzroy Crossing

About the role: 

This position provides support to the students with disability who seek in class-assistance by providing neat, accurate notes, relaying information in ‘uncomplicated’ terms and assisting the student to achieve their learning outcomes by keeping them focussed on the information provided.

Salary: $40.36 per hour

Lecturer Fitting and Machining - Karratha

About the role: 

We are looking for an inspirational lecturer who is passionate about passing their vocation onto the workforce of the future.

As a Lecturer you will engage students in the learning process using varied delivery methods in a variety of learning environments. You will be valued for your industry relevance, which you will maintain through ongoing collaboration with industry and professional development. This position will be delivering Certificate II and III in Engineering (Fitting & Machining).

$75,204 – $101,211 pa pro rata

Lecturer TAE and Business Studies - Broome

About the role: 

We are looking for an inspirational lecturer who is passionate about passing their vocation onto the workforce of the future.

A lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning and conduct assessment in traditional, new and innovative ways to a diverse range of clients. Lecturers will also be involved in the provision of consultancy, information and promotional services to industry, prospective students and community clients. To support this process the TAFE environment offers comprehensive industry based Training Packages and an underpinning quality system that provides a framework for delivery and assessment.

Travel will be inherent in the role as the position will be based in Broome, delivering Training and Assessment as face to face and online styles of delivery to internal and external clients across the Kimberley region.

To be successful, you will have the following…

  • Significant relevant industry/ vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
  • Applicant MUST Have as a prerequisite for TAE delivery:
    - TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor
    - OR TAEDES50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development or it successor
    - A higher level qualification in adult education

Principal Lecturer - Karratha

About the role: 

The role of Principal Lecturer is a teaching position and plays a pivotal role in providing leadership and qualitative improvement in vocational education processes and programs. A Principal Lecturer is expected to demonstrate outstanding performance, in possession of significant skills and qualities in vocational education delivery with a focus on quality teaching and learning.

This includes the expectation to provide College wide vocational educational leadership, mentoring and working in collaboration with lecturers and other Principal Lecturers, as part of the College’s Quality Leadership Team.

Principal Lecturers have industry leadership responsibilities, directly relating to the vocational education processes, including development and implementation of curriculum, training and assessment initiatives; and maintaining close industry liaison, in keeping with the current trends in the discipline and representing the area with external educational stakeholders.

Demonstrated understanding of equal opportunities policies and development of appropriate strategies to incorporate these principles into the learning environment is also part of the role.

Aboriginal Education Support Officer - Halls Creek

About the role: 

This position is responsible for providing support to Aboriginal students to commence, continue and complete training.  The position connects North Regional TAFE to the training and employment needs of Aboriginal individuals, groups and communities.
