Current vacancies

NR TAFE advertises all non-casual employment opportunities, with a tenure in excess of six month, on the WA Government Jobs Board. This site is your gateway to information about employment opportunities in the Government of Western Australia.

NR TAFE also has various casual teaching positions available throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara. If you are interested in sharing your talents by teaching the next generation, then this is for you! We are establishing an appointment pool for current vacancies that may arise in the future. Appointments will be made on a casual basis. Permanency is not available through this recruitment process. NR TAFE's purpose is to build the skills and capacity of the North Western Australia workforce for a sustainable economy and enable resilient communities. As a WA public provider, it supports the State Government's first workforce development priority to train and prepare Western Australians for the workforce. Critically, NR TAFE plays a vital role in providing vocational education in rural and regional WA, and job training pathways for the most vulnerable in the community.

You require:

  • A qualification or equivalence in the relevant industry areas
  • A minimum of three years industry or vocational working experience in one or more of the below industry areas.
  • Attain the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment from the TAE10 Training and Assessment Training Package or higher.
  • A drive to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency and trainer/assessor competence
  • High level written and oral communication skills in English and Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments
  • A commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting
  • A demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment
  • Proven strengths in problem solving and adaptability

Employment eligibility

Employment at NR TAFE is subject to:

  • Obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education National Police History Check Clearance
  • Obtaining a Working with Children (WWC) Card
  • Meeting citizenship/residency or Visa requirements

In order to be considered for a permanent position, you must be an Australian citizen, Australian resident, or be a New Zealand citizen with unrestricted working rights. In order to be considered for a fixed-term contract position, you must fit into one of the categories listed above, or be a temporary resident with a valid working visa.

Casual candidates are encouraged to apply for positions within their current locations. Relocation and/or housing benefits are not applicable with these roles.
