Derma Doctor Scholarship Program - Term 4, 2018

The Derma Doctor Scholarship Program supports Broome residents to undertake vocational training in the Connecting with Country training program. Students involved in the Connecting with Country program will undertake a AHC21216 Certificate II in Rural Operations, focusing on horticulture and land management practices relevant to the local region. Participants will learn contemporary land management practices with a strong focus on the cultivation of local bushfoods such as Gubinge. Scholarships are worth up to $1,200 per student, comprising of tuition fees.

Selection criteria

  • Applicants must be Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents, ordinarily residing in the Kimberley
  • Applicants must be intending to live, study and work in the Kimberley region after completing their training
  • Applicants must demonstrate willingness to commit to study in 2018 by maintaining satisfactory progress of chosen scholarship qualification
  • Scholarships are not available for online study
