NR TAFE is committed to providing access to education and training across the North West.
 

A range of scholarships are available to assist current and prospective students with the cost of fees and study related expenses. Current scholarship opportunities are listed below.

 

INDUSTRY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

NR TAFE's Industry Scholarship Program provides opportunities for Kimberley and Pilbara residents to progress their career aspirations in a range of eligible industry areas. The Industry Scholarship Program has been designed to create opportunities for a better future through education and training, and are open to prospective students who can demonstrate educational disadvantage and financial hardship.

The Industry Scholarship Program has three scholarship streams outlined below.

 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Scholarship

Scholarship Eligibility Requirement: The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment scholarship is only open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The objective of this scholarship is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to encourage representation within training workforce and Industry.

This qualification provides participants with the opportunity to work as a lecturer, trainer or mentor in their area of specialty. This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge required to facilitate learning and maintain and enhance professional practice through competency-based assessment in a range of settings.

Participants will learn how to design and develop learning programs and resources to support delivery. Participants will also learn how to plan and organise assessment, design and develop assessment tools and assess competency in a vocational, training and education environment.

Value of Scholarship: $1,450.00*

 

  • Aspire Scholarship

This scholarship is targeted towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The Aspire Scholarship provides opportunity to progress career aspirations. Applicants must nominate their preferred course and provide statements about their employment and career aspirations. Applicants must select and apply for their chosen course of study from Certificate I to Diploma level in any North Regional TAFE qualification. 

Value of Scholarship: Varies depending on selected course aspiration $1000 to $10,100*

 

  • Priority Industry Qualification Scholarship

The Western Australian State Government Priority Industry Qualifications List identifies training courses related to skilled occupations that are in high demand across Western Australia. North Regional TAFE at delivers training in the following Priority Industry Qualifications.

Applicants must select and apply for their chosen course of study and campus from the following Priority Industry Qualification List.

Value of Scholarship: Varies depending on selected Priority Industry Qualification $1000.00 to $10,100.00*

 

*Value of all Scholarships quoted represent indicative fees and subject to change or variation depending on selected course, Units of Competency and other allowances of offer made at the time of issue of scholarship to the successful applicant.
