The Certificate III in Work Health and Safety allows participants to take on a health and safety role within their workplace.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Apply work health and safety legislation in the workplace
  • Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment and control
  • Identify, prevent and report potential workplace emergency situations
  • Effectively communicate and consult with people regarding work health and safety issues

This qualification is suitable for people whose main job is not dedicate to work health and safety, but for those who take it on as a voluntary duty.

  • Assist with responding to incidents
  • Assist with claims management, rehabilitation and return-to-work programs

The Diploma of Work Health and Safety is suitable for people who coordinate and maintain an Work Health and Safety (WHS) program in an organisation. It reflects the role of practitioners who apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.

This qualification is delivered in an online environment only. Two streams are available to study through and both are online.

  • Stream 1: General competency based training
  • Stream 2: WorkSafe WA Safety Line Institute program

Participants who undertake this course will gain skills in:

  • Effective management of WHS consultation and participation processes
  • Systematic management of WHS risks
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining a WHS management systems
  • Managing rehabilitation and return to work programs
  • Managing and monitoring workplace emergency procedures and equipment

XERO is cloud-based accounting software that is becoming increasingly popular, with many easy-to-use features.  

This workshop provides a short, six hour introduction to XERO software, with the opportunity to study further.  

Use XERO to enter a range of transactions, including: 

  • Invoices
  • Adjustment notes
  • Payments
  • Receipts
  • Bank entries
  • Bank statement
  • Financial reports

The textbook, Conduct Business Activities Using A Computerised Accounting System is required.  

Choose to complete assessments after the workshop and/or receive a letter documenting your participation.
