Broome Jobs and Skills Centre officially opens

Employers and job seekers in the Kimberley now have access to a free 'one stop shop' career and employment service, following the launch of the Broome Jobs and Skills Centre.

The Centre, located at North Regional TAFE's Broome campus, was officially launched by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery last Friday.

Combining the resources of NR TAFE and Wunan Foundation, the Centre delivers a free service to employers, job seekers and career changers looking to improve skills and job prospects, with a particular focus on assisting youth at risk in developing essential skills needed to enter the workforce.

In the short time since operation, the Centre has already experienced many successes, with a number of client service users landing full time employment, traineeships and entering into further training as a result of the services provided.

The Karratha Jobs and Skills Centre, which combines the services of NR TAFE, Empowering People in Communities (EPIC) and Bloodwood Tree Association, will be officially launched shortly.

To learn more about the services, please contact the Jobs and Skills Centre on the details below.
