North Regional TAFE has been named a Large Training Provider of the Year finalist in the 2021 WA Training Awards.

NR TAFE will join fellow colleges North Metropolitan TAFE and South Metropolitan TAFE in the finals, as it vies for its third win since the organisation’s establishment in 2016.

The winner will be announced alongside the State’s top students and trainers at the 2021 WA Training Awards presentation in Perth on 17 September.

The College’s application highlighted a number of successful partnerships with organisations and communities across the North of WA as being integral to its success as a training provider.

NR TAFE Managing Director Kevin Doig said these partnerships, alongside the dedication of staff and the support of the community, was key to the success of the organisation.

“We are humbled to be recognised as a finalist for this significant award alongside our friends North and South Metropolitan TAFE,” Kevin said.

“Since our establishment, we have continued to expand our strategic partnerships with a number of industry partners by putting their requirements at the centre of our training development goals.

“These partnerships have strengthened our ability to be able to deliver appropriate training products and identify and incorporate local needs into our service delivery.

“We feel privileged to join other training providers, trainers and students on the stage, and we wish all finalists the best of luck.”

Following the announcement of the WA award winners, some category finalists will be given the opportunity to compete in the Australian Training Awards in November.
