Learn how to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Participants will be guided through the operation of a forklift, ensuring:

  • Risk control measures are implemented
  • Traffic management is carried out in accordance with workplace procedures
  • Pre-start and operational checks are completed
  • Loads are monitored correctly
  • Shutdown procedures are carried out

Upon completion, participants will receive a forklift Notice of Assessment and a Work Safe High Risk Work Licence.

Please note:

  • Participants must be aged 18 years or over, and provide two primary forms of identification, along with two passport photos.
  • Participants are required to wear a high visibility shirt and steel cap boots during the course.
  • Pre-reading may be required before commencement of this course

This course covers the skills required to carry out gas testing of an atmosphere prior to entering an area or work-space (including confined spaces) to ensure safety. 

Participants will learn how to interpret readings and take actions based on the interpretation.

This eight-week introductory course provides participants with the fundamental skills needed to enter the workforce or progress into a nationally recognised civil construction qualification.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Undertake measurements and calculations
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Read and interpret plans
  • Communicate effectively when carrying out projects

This skill set covers civil operations work undertaken by local government, state road authorities and civil contractors.

Participants will be trained across a range of areas, providing a headstart to those seeking full-time employment and further study.

Join us three days per week from 18 Feb (weeks 1-6) and five days per week from 30 March – 10 April (weeks 7-8).

The testing and tagging of electrical equipment must be performed by trained individuals. 

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to test and tag electrical equipment as per Australian Standards 3760 and 3012.  Participants will be trained to confidently perform testing and tagging, while meeting compliance and ensuring the safety of staff on the worksite. 

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including long trousers, a long sleeved shirt and covered footwear must be worn throughout the duration of the course.
