WALL TAPESTRY

State ID: CUA37

This eight-week course will provide you with an introduction into the traditional and contemporary practice of Woven Tapestry, a textile art form dating back to the 1400's designed for wall display.

During the course we will explore various weaving techniques on simple loom frames and incorporate contemporary design features and creative knotting to develop your own stunning wall piece.

No experience is necessary, yet this course will also provide a leaping off point for those already familiar with the weaving process and give you an opportunity to further explore your creative process using textiles.
