Rigging Basic Skill Set

Need a basic riggers ticket for work?

This course is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work and is accredited by WorkSafe WA.

Participants will learn the skills needed to:

  • Perform steel erections
  • Operate hoists
  • Place pre-cast concrete tilt panels
  • Use safety nets and static lines
  • Perimeter safety nets
  • Cantilever crane loading platforms

Upon completion of this course, participants will receive a statement of attainment and will be sent a WorkSafe WA permit.

Shibori Workshop Skill Set

Explore the ancient art of Shibori.

Shibori is the ancient Japanese art of fabric dyeing. Learn the basics of natural indigo vat dyeing and traditional techniques including tying, wrapping and clamping to achieve unique aesthetics on cloth.

Experiment with techniques and manipulate fabrics with clamps and an array of folding and tying methods to create beautiful patterns on fabric.
