Can you handle the Kimberley?

This course is great for those who are new to the Kimberley, regularly travel through the region, or would simply like to boost their four wheel driving skills.

Over two days, participants will be guided through the operation and recovery of a four wheel drive in off-road conditions.

Please bring along:

  • Current driver’s licence
  • 4WD with a full tank of fuel
  • Closed in shoes
  • Hat, sunscreen and sunglasses
  • Plenty of water

Printmaking Skill Set

Using nontoxic and sustainable methods, participants will immerse themselves in eight weeks of printmaking to produce etchings. Participants will explore multiple techniques to produce unique state prints, including different ways of treating surfaces and preparing paper for printing.

Encaustic Painting Skill Set

Come and explore this new painting technique using beeswax!

Encaustic is a Greek word meaning to ‘heat in’ or to ‘burn in’ (enkaustikos). During this course, participants will learn how to use heat to melt beeswax, and embed and work to the layers through the wabi-sabi approach. 

Participants will also be given the opportunity to incorporate mixed media and varying techniques to bring their artwork to life.
