The Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management provides participants with a solid understanding of the conservation and land management industry.

Students can elect to focus on Indigenous land management, conservation earthworks, lands, parks and wildlife, or natural area management.
Throughout this course, students will complete written assignments and work in teams to undertake programs that assist in maintaining the natural environment. Participants will gain practical skills in occupational health and safety, fire management, biodiversity surveying, mapping and an understanding of remote operations.
This course is not campus based but delivered upon request to a closed group on rural properties across the Kimberley and Pilbara regions. Please contact us for more information.
Throughtout the course, you will gain skills in:
- Conducting ecological and cultural site inspections
- Producing basic maps and collecting spatial data
- Reading and interpreting maps
- Responding to and suppressing wildfires
- Application and transportation of chemicals
- Treating pest, disease and weeds
- Operating a 4WD in isolated locations and on unsealed roads
- Navigation in remote or trackless situations
- Coordinating work site activities and implement property repairs and construction
- you are a trainee or employee working in the Conservation and Land Management industry
The course is delivered both on campus for theoretical components as well as off site on country such as remote Indigenous communities or students work sites.
