With a strong demand for skilled professionals in Australia’s automotive industry, it is important that hands on training is available to those with a keen interest in the field.
Our automotive qualifications can be undertaken by a variety of people in a variety of ways – as part of an apprenticeship through block training, as a school-based traineeship, through the VET delivered to secondary students program, or even in your spare time as a way to build on your pre-existing skills.
We offer basic automotive training, through to specifics in light and heavy vehicle, air-conditioning, and tyre-servicing technology.

This qualification is perfect to advance your career and give you the skills and experience that employers are looking for as an apprentice automotive air conditioning technician. Automotive air conditioner technicians work in a range of fields including light vehicle, automotive electrical, heavy vehicle, mobile plant and equipment, and more.
Successful completion of this qualification will allow you to work effectively in the automotive industry. It will equip participants with the ability to perform a range of tasks relating to servicing and repairing air conditioning components and systems of cars and heavy vehicles in an automotive service and repair business. Participants will learn how to test and repair basic electric circuits; diagnose, repair, retrofit and modify air conditioning and HVAC systems; carry out diagnostic procedures, as well as a range of other tasks.
Training is conducted in modern workshop facilities, where you'll get to learn on a range of different vehicles and systems.
The completion of this qualification enables an individual to apply for an AAC02 - Refrigerant handling licence - qualified persons (Automotive air conditioning licence).

This qualification is perfect those who are interested or already working in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. Current workers and mechanics can enhance their business by adding to their skills in tyre technology.
Successful completion of this qualification will provide you with skills and knowledge to perform a range of tasks related to the servicing of tyres in an automotive or repair business including light and heavy vehicles, agricultural vehicles and equipment, and earth moving and off-the-road vehicles.
Undertaking a combination of classroom and workshop training and self-paced study, topics will be themed around following safe work practices, customer service and communication, identifying faults and troubleshooting processes, and how to use and maintain workshop tools and equipment. You'll learn about removing, inspecting, repairing, selecting, fitting and selling a range of tyres for different vehicles.
After completing the Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology you'll also be able to apply for a Motor Trade Association of Western Australia (MTAWA) repairers’ certificate in tyre servicing.

Participants will learn how to identify and inspect mechanical and electrical components and systems of automotive vehicles and equipment, as well as perform minor maintenance and repairs to an automotive vehicle body. This qualification prepares participants to work as a vehicle service assistant or progress into an automotive mechanical apprenticeship.

Undertaken as part of a 4 year apprenticeship, this qualification enables participants to become a heavy diesel mechanic, servicing and repairing trucks, buses and earthmoving equipment in the automotive industry.
Throughout this course, participants will apply their practical skills, while gaining an understanding of how to inspect and service engines, test, use and maintain equipment, and diagnose and repair a range of mechanical problems. You will gain the knowledge to ensure the smooth operation of heavy vehicles and heavy machinery.
Training is delivered in a modern workshop facilities with industry standard tools and equipment, on actual vehicles.

Undertaken as part of an apprenticeship, you will gain skills and knowledge to perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles including diagnosis and repair, braking systems, transmissions, servicing, suspension, and workplace safety and health.
This qualification develops existing workers and prepares new employees for work in the light vehicle servicing and repair industry.
