English, Languages and Foundation Studies
English and foundation studies courses cater to two broad groups – those who speak English and wish to boost their confidence and employability, and those who come from non-English speaking backgrounds and want to understand, speak, read and write in English.
Our foundation studies courses assist students to develop their personal, social and employability skills. These qualifications encompass career development, leadership and pre-employment training, enabling learners to go onto further study or find employment.
Our English language courses help learners to develop skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and word pronunciation. Students will learn English within the context of living in Australia and gain a greater insight into Australian society, customs and practices.
NR TAFE offers International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation training and a subsequent test centre for students to sit the IELTS exam with the University of Western Australia.
