North Regional TAFE's Kununurra campus is located on Coolibah Drive between the two local schools.
The campus has an extensive workshop, with fabrication, automotive and carpentry trades training equipment.
Kununurra campus offers a number of facilities aiding students in achieving their qualifications.

Boost your 4WD skills!
Whether you need to operate and maintain a 4WD on a remote worksite or simply wish to gain confidence driving in off-road conditions, this course will provide you with the skills you need to feel at ease behind the wheel.
The delivery of this skill set will be face to face combining both theory and practical exercises over a 2 day period – theory day 1 and practical day 2. Participants are required to sit a theoretical exam on 4wd operation and safety, perform a vehicle pre-start and a practical assessment in which will include checking and driving the 4WD, the procedure of fitting a jack and recovery strap, inspecting the path of travel, and routine maintenance, as well as, but not limited to, the vehicle utilising specific 4wd techniques.

The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping provides participants with an opportunity to work as a bookkeeper in a business or within their own practice. Participants will learn skills to develop their bookkeeping and financial report preparation knowledge, complete all bookkeeping requirements and complete BAS information for employers and clients.
Participants will also be able to develop a range of generic business skills. This qualification is recognised as meeting the future requirements for bookkeepers wishing to provide BAS services as a professional contract bookkeeper, either working under the direction of a Tax Agent/Public Accountant, for a bookkeeping business or franchise, or as a BAS service provider.

This course can be completed in three sections - program development, case management, and team leadership - and is an affordable entry pathway into tertiary study in an approved Social Work degree.
As part of this qualification, participants will undertake a supervised 100 hours of work placement in order to apply the skills and knowledge learnt. A federal police clearance and Working with Children Check are required prior to placement.

This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship and this qualification allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to off-site occupations, such as joinery as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction.
This qualification is designed to introduce learners to the recognised trade callings in the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that are required in most Certificate III qualifications. The elective options are structured to allow choice from areas of trade skills as an introduction to a range of occupations.

This course reflects the role of an educator who is responsible for the planning, implementing and management of programs in early childhood education and care services in accordance with legislative requirements and national quality standards. As part of this qualification, participants will undertake 240 hours of supervised work placement where they will be able to apply the skills and knowledge learned throughout the course. A federal police clearance and Working with Children Check are required prior to placement.
Upon completion of the Diploma, participants will become qualified to supervise other staff and volunteers. Participants will be equipped with the necessary skills to plan, implement and manage programs in early childhood services (0-12 years) in accordance with licensing, quality assurance and duty of care requirements.

Course fees include provision for your licence application fee to Worksafe to obtain the relevant High Risk Work Licence (HRWL). Following a State Government announcement on 31 March 2020 of proposed COVID-19 economic relief measures, it is anticipated that legislation will be enacted to provide for discounts or waiver of HRWL licence fees for a set period. These discounts and waivers are not yet available, but are expected to be backdated where applicable.
