Fire Extinguisher
Learn how to be an effective health and safety representative in the workplace!
This one-day Fire Extinguisher short course includes the practical use of fire extinguishers, fire behaviour and methods of control.

The course covers:
- fire types
- types of extinguisher and how to use them
- fire blankets
- fire hose reels and lighting real fires and using the equipment.
For the practical component, students get to use CO2 and dry powder extinguishers as well as fire blankets.
*Please note; Short Courses are non-accredited and result in a Certificate of Participation. A non-accredited training course does not count-towards a recognised qualification, but is specially designed to provide hands-on training in a new skill you can use in your personal or professional life, and is a great way to refresh your knowledge or give you a taste of a different industry.
