Learn how to operate a front end loader safely and efficiently.
The Front End Loader Skill Set is a 5 day course that provides you with the knowledge and skills to conduct civil construction wheeled front end loader operations.
The course guides participants through:
- Planning and preparation
- Pre-start checks
- Front end loader operations, including attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials
- Machine relocation
- Machine operator maintenance
- Shutdown procedure

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to operate a wheeled front end loader within the civil construction and resources industries.
This qualification is directly aligned with priority industry areas where jobs are today, and into the future. As part of the state government Lower fees, local skills initiative, from 1 January 2020 through to 31 December 2025 you'll only pay half the tuition fees (plus resource fee) capped at $1,200; or $400 if you're aged 15—24 or eligible for a concession.
