The testing and tagging of electrical equipment must be performed by trained individuals.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to test and tag electrical equipment as per Australian Standards 3760 and 3012. Participants will be trained to confidently perform testing and tagging, while meeting compliance and ensuring the safety of staff on the worksite.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including long trousers, a long sleeved shirt and covered footwear must be worn throughout the duration of the course.
Units:
UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
UEERL0003 Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies
You will need to provide the following PPE for the practical assessments:
- Hi-Vis Long sleeve shirt
- Long Pants
- Steel Cap Boots
Not all units and study modes are offered at all campuses. Please check with your local campus.
Students must hold a First Aid and CPR certificate as an entry requirement for the Test and Tag Skill Set.
