Do you need a working in confined spaces ticket for work?

During this short course participant’s will gain the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.
This course is appropriate for those working in operational roles undertaking work in confined spaces.

Students will learn to:

  • Identify areas that constitute confined spaces
  • Comply with site and equipment safety requirements
  • Comply with the  entry and exit procedures, risks and regulations
  • Types of air contaminants and toxic gases
  • Identify the limitations of breathing apparatus
  • Identify equipment types, characteristics, technical capabilities and limitations
  • Comply with site isolation and site control responsibilities and authorities
  • Locate and understand safety data sheets (SDS) information and application
  • Use confined space and industry terminology
