The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management explores a range of topics relevant to those wishing to explore a career as an office manager, team leader or supervisor. Workplace leadership roles require strong communication skills and the ability to motivate your team. You will need to be organised and able to handle several tasks at one time, and this course can help you get there.
This course covers the principles of leadership and management, and will guide you through the use of effective written and verbal communication, from report writing to problem solving, and network and relationship building. You will learn about operational planning, getting the most out of digital technology and initiating workplace health and safety operations.
You will complete 12 hours of prescribed self-paced study per week over 40 weeks, which will consist of reading, research and follow-up activities. Throughout this time, your lecturer will be available for further learning and intensive training.

Although there are no specific requirements identified by NRTAFE for enrolment in this course, students are expected to have a good level of literacy language and numeracy (LLN) and business writing skills to enable them to complete this course.
